Spring is coming again

The symbol of the spring -  forsythia doesn't bloom yet. But I feel now the spring is closed to me.

Snow, Snow, Snow

Heavy snow on March

It is snowing now while I am typing keyboard.
It is first time to see heavy snow in mid-March, since I served the army in 2003.

Now I'm drinking celebrating snow in early spring. It's Indian whiskey which named "Blender's Pride". I bought in India last November. It was good for me before, and I wish be good for me now.

International Women's Day

On the 8th March ,every year is International Women's day and yesterday was the day. I thought I should give a flower or small gift as a present for my girlfriend, my mother and so on. I decided I give a present to my girlfriend's mother. (Who knows? She might be my mother-in-row. I need to win her favor.) I thought a bunch of flowers is better for her and a box of chocolate for my mother.

I visited a small flower shop on my way home. The hostess asked me.
The hostess : "Hi there, what is your purpose of your buying?"
I : "Oh, today is Women's day! I need a bunch of flowers."
The hostess : "Really? umm... "

I felt it was sure that she didn't know. Nobody bought flower yesterday?
Anyway, I went to meet my girlfriend to give a bunch of flowers to her mother.

My girlfriend: "Honey, what is it? Is today a special day?"

Gosh! Most of S.Korean do not celebrate "International" Women's day. Why do I think that People in Korean celebrate Women's day, of course? - I also , in fact, didn't celebrate before...

Coffee with my girlfriend.

I had a cup of caffe latte after dinner in small coffee shop with my girlfriend. "La Siestar" is the name of the coffee shop. She had a teapot of Assam tea.

I said I won Motoroi event present before. She took a Android handset accessory, Android coin bank from me. Can you her cellphone and the accessory at left side in the picture?   She like Android character so much since she saw SK Telecom's TV ad.

She said it's so cute when it is dancing.
Well... I admit It dances better than me, but I don't think the green creature is cute.....

Spring is coming!

The new leaves come up. They seem to welcome spring.

T Store is a "Terrible" store

New software update for my Android phone(Motorola XT-720, Motoroi) are available from yesterday. S/W version for this phone was STSKT_N_79.11.29R1, now it becomes STSKT_N_79.11.31R1. It was simple to update. I just selected Setting-About Phone-System updates, then my phone system started to download. After download was completed, the system rebooted automatically. 


I don't know exactly which feature had changed because there is no release note. However I can clearly recognize that T Store S/W is added. T Store is an open market for SK Telecom like Appstore(Apple's) and Android Market(Google's). 


I tried. I was very disappointed. T Store is a disaster. Few applications are now available(about 20~30). T Store application what serves Android applications doesn't fit to Android. For Example, back button is touched, the application does not show previous screen. It is terminated. Menu buttons on the application consist of images. Those images are too small, so hard to touch them. When I touch menu button on the phone, so I expected menu windows bottom of the screen, but the application does not respond. 


Project planner must not have used Android phone, or there is too short time to develop.

Valentine's day gift from my girlfriend

Saint Valentine was a western person but a lot of people all around the world celebrate his day. Usually a girl gives chocolates to man who she likes or loves in Korea on Valentine's day. There was love in the air on every Valentine's day before, but not in this year. Cause this Valentine's day exactly falls on the lunar New Year's day.

We usually exchange tteok(like "mochi" in Japanese, if you want more info. visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tteok) with neighbor, relatives, friends. That's why my girlfriend gave me tteok. aren't those pretty? 

It's too pretty to have them..

Android toy from SKTelecom

SKTelecom, Korean telecommunication company , launched the "FIRST" Android phone in South Korea yesterday. The phone is called Motoroi from Motorola(Model name : XT-720). Motoroi had developed based on Droid Android phone for the Chinese and the Korean. Public release day is yesterday(10th Feb.), but many consumers who have desire for Android phone have Motoroi at that time. Cause SKTelecom had began pre-selling on 26th Jan 2010. I'm a developer who have desire for Android platform, I bought the phone during the pre-selling period. 

Since I bought earlier than other people, I won the present. There was an event that the present be given to first 700 buyers. I took the present yesterday. An Android USB,Android handset accessaries, an Android coin bank, a soft rubber phone body protector, a screen protector are in the present box. 

Although only the limply phone body protector doesn't appeal to my taste, I'm happy.

Finally I can use Google Buzz

Google said they launched Google Buzz - SNS 10 hours ago. As soon as I heard that, I rushed to experience Google Buzz. But... I can't use it on my PC. I tried to find out what's the problem. Because Am I in Korea? or not a heavy user? Some news said now some people are able to use it. Hmm... I tried to find more and more, some guy said Google Buzz is now available on Mobile Google, then I tried.  


Wow! I can use Google Buzz on Android phone. It seems Twitter. Most impressive function for me is Buzz shows the threads from nearby Buzz users. 


Very impressive! When I did it, well.... I didn't know there are so many people in my workplace before.
